provides soft, comfortable support for the lower leg and raises the heel of the High-Risk resident to help protect against pressure ulcers. The entire foot and ankle are cradled by the Heel-Float, which is covered in plush, brushed Velour. A gel pad offers cooling relief under the calf, while a window in the heel region allows air to flow to aid in skin protection and healing.

The Heel-Float is completely washable - simply remove the gel pad from the pocket before laundering. An adjustable version is available, which includes all the features of the traditional Heel-Float but can be adapted to accommodate a wide range of Plantar flexion limitations. For additional support, a firm insert is included.

There are different sizes available: small for petite adults, medium for average adults, and large/bariatric for larger or bariatric adults. For added stability, the Foot Stabilizer can be used with any Heel-Float device to prevent foot rotation in bed. This is particularly recommended for post-hip surgery and post-stroke patients. The Foot Stabilizer is durable and reusable, and it fits all makes of fiber-filled pressure-relief boots.
