EVOLV Cap Pad Crash Pad - with essential toe protection

Evolv's LZ (landing zone) is designed for climbers on a budget. This "No Frills" pad offers maximum performance, modeled after their top-notch drop pad. The Cap boasts a robust 3-layer foam construction, featuring a generous 5" thickness and a confidence-boosting 48" by 36" landing area. There's no unnecessary carpet square for foot tidiness, just a minimalist carry system that screams readiness to climb.

The Cap focuses on what's most essential – ensuring you and the ground never come too close. It now comes fully loaded with adjustable and contoured backpack straps, a larger and more cushioned waistband to distribute weight onto your hips, a sternum strap to keep shoulder straps secure, and load lifters to shift weight from shoulders to hips. The quick-release industrial strength metal cam style buckles make opening and closing a breeze.

With easy access handles, you can move the pad quickly from boulder to boulder without hassle. The foam structure comprises 3" open cell foam sandwiched between 1" top and bottom layers for safety and affordability. The pad is constructed with 25mm top layer closed cell foam that extends throughout, 80mm open cell foam bonded to a 25mm bottom layer closed cell foam for added durability and pressure containment.

The suspension system features 85mm wide padded and contoured shoulder straps, a 35mm wide webbing waist belt, load-lifting straps, and sternum straps. The closure system uses G-hook with 25mm Nylon Webbing. The dimensions when open are 48"x 36"x 5" (122cm x 91cm x 12.7cm) and when closed are 24"x 36"x 11" (61cm x 91cm x 28cm). Made of 900d Poly and water-repellent coated fabric, the pad weighs 12lb.
